I have some b'lorette party drama going on--
My best friend wanted her bachlorette party to be just close friends from hight school and college. One of our mutual friends who hasnt made an effort to maintian their friendship was not invited to the bachlorette party but was invited to the shower and is invited to the wedding. Needless to say she is very upset about this--was my friend in the wrong for including her in the shower and the wedding but NOT the bachlorette party???
While the friend who hasn't maintained a close friendship with the Bride to Be may feel left out, just reassure her that the Bride's wishes are to keep it simple with her closest friends she's been in touch with lately.
Sure, the friend may feel jilted. But you know what? The Bachelorette Party is for the Bride. Plain and simple!
If she wanted a limo, you'd get her a limo ride. If she wanted to go out clubbing and then have everyone stay at a hotel room, you'd do that.
If she wanted a male stripper to arrive as a police officer, you'd do that. So this conflict with the friend is really no different. Because at the end of the day ... It's HER day (not the friend's.)
