| How do you know what should be said on your wedding invitations? My fiancee and I have basically been married for five years already. We have planned and paid for everything ourselves thus far, including the reception and will do the same with the invitations. This of course means that we will be sending them out our selves. What should be included in the wording and what is unnessesary givin our unique situation? |

| Usually if you and him are paying for the event the invitation would read "[your name] and [his name] request the honour of your presence at their wedding. . . " and if your parents are paying it would read "[your parents names] request the honour of your presence at the wedding of [brides name] and[grooms name]. . . " and if your parents are helping pay for the event then it would read "together with thier parents [brides name] and [grooms name] request the honour of your presence . . . ". I hope this helps!
