Is it ok to invite people to a shower and not invite them to the wedding, if we are trying to keep the number at the wedding/reception under a certain amount?
No it's very improper. Who ever you invite to the shower should be invited to the wedding. Some may take an offense if they aren't. Thats just what i have heard. Hope this helps
If a person is invited to a bridal shower they should also be invited to attend the wedding. If not you are essentially saying "hey you are good enough to go a shower for me and buy me a present but not good enough to go to my wedding." Very tacky.
