Report Abuse On a formal invitation, how do you address the outer envelope for a couple where the female has a PhD and the male has a Doctorate in Education?

I do believe that if both are doctors ( of any sort) it would be Doctors John and Jane Doe, if the wife is a dr. And husband not.. Doctor Jane and Mr John Doe, if husband dr. And wife not Doctor John and Mrs. Jane Doe. Hope this helps
