MY GAIN IS YOUR GAIN. I grossly underestimated my true size when I purchased this incredible Monique Lhuillier acelon lace wedding gown (style: "Fiona"; wedding size: 8; true size 4-6; color: off-white or ivory) from an ebay sample sale vendor with the intention of wearing it in my outdoor wedding this summer. I thought a shorter dress might prevent my obsessing over grass stains during my special day. I wanted this dress to fit so badly I actually considered having panels added before reason kicked in (how would I match the lace?). This dress was longer on me than the model (the 42" length was about 3" below my knees). The bust is 34" across and the waist is 27", hips 34". The dress has never been worn and is in new condition (the only flaw is a teeny tiny make-up mark on the interior of the slip, which doesn't show AT ALL from the outside). The collar can be worn up or down (up it's haute couture, down it has a sweet, retro or sixties Peter Pan shape). The sash was sold separately and I didn't buy it, thinking instead that I would have one made to match the bridesmaids. Lhuillier's prices are usually staggering (this one was marked down to $2420) but my price of $850 is waaaay less, giving you the opportunity to wear an authentic runway couture gown at a cheap frock price. It's the right choice during an economic recession. I need to move on with my own wedding dress search so please ask any questions now as there are no returns. I can get more specific with measurements and take more pictures if need be.
