Did you get a dress? I am selling my gown Maggie Sottero Temera after my wedding in January. I have advertised it on here. It is gorg and I also had a crown made to match. I am getting married in Las Vegas and will be wearing my dress for a maximum of 3 hours so it will be virtually brand new. The crown if you are interested is an original which was named O'Hara due to my dress being Scarlet.

The Ian Stuart one is lovely in the picture but when I tried it on it wasn't as nice. I think because it was silk it looked dry and as silk doesn't soak in colour it wasn't the nicest red either. It was the same as Maggie Sottero's Temptation I tried this on and put me off completely whereas a satin dress has a lovely sheen to it and satin just sucks up colour so it's a gorg rich red.

I wore a custom-made red wedding dress by Olwyn Fleury (we designed it together). I got to pick out the material (silk) - we did a celtic themed wedding and I wanted something different. My advice is to get one custom-made (it's not as expensive as you might think) and that way you have control over the shade and the design, and you KNOW that no-one else will ever have worn the same dress!
I too am in the market for a red wedding dress or at least red accents on a dress. I have had the hardest time finding one. I wnet to the Design room web site posted in Dec and loved that gowns there butstill not exactly what I am looking for. I will continue to check the other suggestions here and check back as well to see more comments if they are made. If I find anything I will post another message. To the above poster posted Jan. 8th, what city are you located in? I'm asking because I know of a designer that is incredible and could make you a personalized dress for just about as much as you would pay for one off the rack. Let me know.

Now he usually specializes in custom made gowns for pageants however I know for a fact he has dabbled in the wedding gown business. I too have been bitten by the red wedding gown bug. Especially appropriate as I will be married on Christmas Eve! I'm having mine custom made from Pulchrum Custom Bridal Creations. It's a Canadian company and I've heard and seen nothing but good things. They make a gown however you want it to fit your exact measurments, and their prices are very affordable. I'm getting my dream dress for $770 CDN!
