Hi everyone! Ok I need your help. I live in West Virginia, but my Fiancé' and I are getting married in Key West, where his parents live. It is going to be in August 2002. So it is going to be very hot.... We are having the wedding on a sunset sail, then the reception is at "Kelli's" on the oceans shore. The heat might not be that bad, but it just seems like all that I can find are heavy, heavy dresses.... What do you all think? I would like to find a "slip" dress...

I just attended a wedding show and saw the perfect gown for a summer wedding! I wish I could remember the makers name, but just keep looking. Why not advertise and find someone who sews and design your own. It is very inexpensive if you go that route.

Buy or look at a copy of Modern Bride april/may 2002 eddition page 438, I think this will be perfect for what you are looking for, it's expensive, but I'm sure you can get a knock off somewhere close where you live..
A friend of mine had a beach wedding in Virginia Beach, and there's a store there that sells really cool beach weddnig type dresses. I think the website is www.allyouneedtowear.com. They've got some dresses designed by them and outfits especially for beach weddings. Otherwise, I'd go with a simple sundress or something. Hope this helps!
