Re: Wedding Invitations
Maybe something like, "Please join us for a reception honoring Christina and Bob immediately following their private wedding ceremony. The reception will be held on Saturday, the sixth of October, 2004, at six o' clock in the evening, at such-and-such a place."

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Re: Wedding Invitations
Hello and congratulations! Why not try: We wish to have an intimate ceremony with immediate family. Followed by a reception, we wish all of our dearest frriends and family, to attend and celebrate our new life together.

Re: Wedding Invitations
If you were planning to invite more people to the wedding ceremony than to the reception, you would send invitations to the ceremony only to those invited to the ceremony only. For those invited to both, you would send the ceremony invitation, and you would include a reception card.

In your situation, do the reverse: send invitations to the reception, and ceremony cards along with the reception invitations only to those invited to both.

Your stationary vendor can walk you through this.

Good Luck!

Re: Wedding Invitations
Thank you all for all the help, the people coming to the wedding is the bridal party, the family and friends that will be at the reception are what I am concerned with for the invitations, I've had a few thought, like _ & _ invite you to celebrate the marriage of their daughter at a reception following the private wedding celebration. Something like that But I'm not to great with formal words and do not know how to word it so it sounds formal and classy. Thank you for all the help!

Try this

Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Blakely
Request the pleasure of your company
At the wedding reception
Of their daughter
Nodia Johnson
And
Mr. Reginald Smith
Saturday, the twenty-fifth of May
At three o’clock
563 Grant Street
