We will be getting married in Queens, New York. On August 7th. We need a chuppa. Because we are on a super duper budget, does anyone know of a place that rents them at a low rate? Please help, we're desperate.
What about making your own? I've seen some really meaningul low budget chuppas made from four poles (or pieces of wood) decorated with tulle or flowers, with the tallit of a loved one (your groom's tallis or grandfather or anyone special to you both) as the top attached at the four corners. Have four of your wedding party hold it up during the ceremony.
