Hi Everyone,
I am not very enthusiastic about walking down the aisle to the normal "Here come the bride". I have heard of people using songs or music more personal to the couple. Has anyone else heard of this or done it?
Its quite common to walk down the aisle to a different song... Most all the weddings I have been to have played some kind of love song or something that had a sentimental meaning to them. People liked it much more than the traditional song.
For my second wedding I came down to "Back at One", well, my dad escorted my mom and mom-in-law on the first verse, then came my one bride's maid, then I started walking down on the cresendo. This was one of me and my husband's "songs". If you don't know the words you can look up words to songs on the interenet.
Good Luck! OH, and for on the way back down try "Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now".....
We were thinking of using She's Got A Way by Billy Joel. He bought the cd a few years ago and as soon as heard the song he said it was written in his heart just for me. Thanks everyone.
I have a cd of all piano music. Some are familiar songs, but some are original works from the pianist. I'll have to find it but if you want the composer and website address e-mail me at lyrac99@hotmail.com
I walked down the isle to the song by Enya it was called "Only Time". This song took everyones breath away including mine, my now husband said that was the highlight of his day when I walked down the isle!
