I'm getting married, but i have a horrible relationship with my mother, however my mother in law andi have a wonderful relationship. Would it be wrong to ask my mother in law to pose as my mother, considering she's always been like a mother to me?

I don't think so.....who would "pose" as the grooms mother? Wouldn't all the guests on your side know your Mother? Is your Mom not attending? That would make the difference in how you wanted to approach this. Give us some background info and could then maybe give better advice. Hi, I understand wot u'r going thru, but u see, blood is thicker than water so maybe u could reconsider? If u really dont want ur mother by ur side, thats ok cos its ur day. However, I dont think you should use ur MIL cos her role on that day is mother of d groom. Also, like someone said, u cant tell d future. U might grow closer one day and regret not putting her in d picture. That said, I'd advise u to pray abt the issue and talk to your dad/stepdad and or siblings about it. My bio mom was not at my wedding and I have a horrible relationship with my step mom. What I did was I told the photographer before hand that I did not want a "mother-daughter" picture. It was OK that she be in the family shots. She was a great photographer and it didn't seem awkward at all.
