I have done several January weddings that have used a very pretty Snowflake theme with silver and periwinkle snow flakes, but I can work with your daughter to create whatever she might like. Even the Diamonds are a girls best friend type hurricane (without the saying and large diamonds) would be very simple yet very elegant.
