I am thinking of using chocolate brown and pink as the colors for my wedding (Nov. 2005). Has anyone seen this before? Have you come across any pictures online? Any suggestions??
I am having tall hurricane lamps from Michael's with a candle inside and sand and shells, I glued a pink and brown striped ribbon around the edge of it. I also have votives for the table. For favors, I have little pink and brown boxes (from Jean M Essentials) tied with ribbon and filled with the neapolitan candies from Branchs. For place cards, there is a packet of cardstock paper with pink and brown designs (stripes, dots, etc.) on one side and a solid pink, brown, creme color on the other, that you can order online...I think it's called cosmopolitan? or something like that, if you are interested I can look up the name for sure.
That sounds fantastic! I am glad you are using the cosmo paper- I wasn't sure if it would be suitable for placecards..it is really nice. I was also thinking about making the table numbers with it as well. I am using the neapolitins too- I just haven't figured out how. I was thinking of using paper flowers made from pink and brown paper (they have patterns at papersource) but I am not sure what kind of vase to get etc.
Shadesofsugar.com can make custom chocolate placecards, chocolate favors, or chocolate center pieces with custom edible graphics of pink wedding flowers or any photo. Chocolate can be molded in pink chocolate.
Hi - I'm getting married in 2 weeks! My colors are pink and brown. I'm trying to find my placecards right now.....I'd love to get the ones that Fran mentions. Can you please tell me where I can find them??
Hey Marie...it is actually called Embellishment Paper and it is double-sided, 6" x 6" sheets, with twelve different patterns. It is called the Cosmopolitan Collection. I cut each sheet into four squares and then folded each square like a tent (upside down V). I printed the names on ivory cardstock, cut them out, and then glued them to the "tent". =)
I can't remember the exact site that I ordered the paper from but if you do a search, I'm sure it will come up.
