I want the bridesmaids to hold something different other then flowers at my wedding its set in a church and i would like to be different the only suggestion i have had so far is that they can hold a white bible please help with any suggestions
When is the wedding? You can accomadate what they carry with the season . How about a candle?

You could have them hold one of those chinese fans. You can find some pretty ones that match the dresses or theme of your wedding. Don't do candles, unless you don't plan on lighting them because I'm sure they won't stay lit all the way down the aisle. And also, your bridesmaids will be worried about dripping wax and walking slow to not blow the candle out.
Yes Gina your right, candles would not be a good choice for those reasons. I was thinking more of the battery candles, I'm sorry I didn't make that clear.

How about beaded bouquets. If you do a search "crystal bouquets" you can get an idea of what I'm talking about. I'm making them for my daughter's bridesmaids, but using glass beads instead of crystal. Her wedding is November so the bead colors are brown, orange, yellow and gold. They really aren't that hard to make - and the cost is less than flowers.
At the last wedding I went to, the bridesmaids carried gorgeous evening bags. The bags had gold chains that they looped around their wrists and the bags were adorned with sequins and crystals. It was lovely and quite unique.
