Can you get pregnant on the shot and if you do how do you know? can you find out from a home pregnancy test? i got on the shot in july took it again 3 months later like i was supposed to but i have not spotted like i nromally do on the shot and my mom thinks that i am pregnant because my titties have been sore... So am I pregnant or not or how can I tell please help soon. Oh yeah can it effect my baby in any way?

As far as i know the shot is supposed to be 99.9% effective. If you are unsure take a home pregnancy test if you have missed a period or have had an abnormal period. I have known a lot of people who have tried the shot and it has done some strange things to them. My sister would go four months without a period, one cousin gained a lot of weight and my aunt had problems getting pregnant after she stopped taking the shot. Of course there are those who have had more success on it. If you are unsure it is always best to call your ob/gyn or a pregnancy clinic in your area(most will do a free pregnancy test for you). Sore breasts could be the result of different things also such as your hormone level during a period or even excess caffeine. But of course it is always best to know so i would urge taking a test to find out plus you will relax more once you know. Good luck!
