Re: Winter Wedding
Carmen,
I have tried and tried to send you an email with heaps of ideas but for some reason, they wont post it... It goes fine and then I get a message that the moderators will look at it to approve it and then nothing comes of it. I first posted it the day of or the day after you posted your email regarding your daughters sweet 16. If you still want/ need the information then let me know and give me your email addy (or open up a free one (hotmail/ yahoo etc) so that you aren't posting your real one and then getting spammed because you posted it on the net...

Re: Winter Wedding
Oh the possibilites are endless, no doubt. :)
For my wedding I havent picked out a color yet, because it's kind of riding on the decor I can come up with. Right now if I go with a holly berry color I am getting a x-mas wreath and sraying it with fake snow with holly berries, I will lay that on the table with a hurricane lamp inside it. Then I will take those crystals that aborb in water and look like ice and holly berrys in the lamp, then I will bury a candle of silver color pillar candle and bury it in the middle of the "fake ice" and berries. And to finish it off Im tying a holly color ribbon on the lamp. Those will be my center pieces, As far as any other decor goes I am at a lost, because we're not allowed to hang anything from the cieling or walls which killed A LOT of my ideas. *sighs* Can you think of anything else I could do? I am Also getting garland and spraying it with fake snow and stringing it along the headtable with white lights. I bought a lot of iceicle lighting as it is on sale for
90 percent off at shopko right now. At the gift table and cake table I am putting the lights UNDER the table cloth to make it glow. I'm also making my own invitations. I helped a friend do hers and its so simple and turned out great. You just have to find the right stationary, and rigfht now Im finding that a biut trying because I want silver snowflakes on my matte background. Anyone know where to order paper online? :)

Re: Winter Wedding
Hi Everybody,
I got married Jan.14,2006. I had a Winter Wonderland Themed wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. My colors were ice blue, navy blue, silver, whites, and platinum. I had fake snow "everywhere". I had the flower girl throw iridescent fake snow. I had white birch trees standing beside and on the stage. I also had white curly willow branches tied onto the pews w/ snowflake ribbon bows. I had a 4 tier snowflake cake. ( It was absolutely beautiful). We also had a bride/groom ice sculpture as a centerpiece on the food table during the reception. All we did was buy an ice molding for $60... 3 days before the wedding, you fill the molding up w/ water, then put it in a stand-up freezer, then the day of the wedding, you break open the molding and you have yourself an ice sculpture. I could just go on and on describing every little detail. It was definately a fairytale wedding. I hope some of my ideas are helpful to some of you. If you have any questions, i'd love to help! My email address is mistyhuffman@yahoo.com. Congratulations to all the brides to be!

Re: Winter Wedding
I am having a Christmas themed wedding this year. I am using silver crystal twig wreaths for my center pieces that will have a white candle in the middle. I am covering the candles with silver glitter. I am also shaking silver glitter and artificial snow together and sprinkling the snow on the tables and floors along with red rose petals. My favors are going to be in boxes that will be covered with silver organza fabric and tied with red ribbon. Poinsettas and snow covered Christmas trees will fill the room as well. My favorite part is that when my fiance and I have our first dance, a snow machine will blow artificial snow throughout the room. There's so much more I am doing but those are just a few ideas

Re: Winter Wedding
Hey girls!!! My wedding is December 30th of this year and I'm doing a Christmas themed wedding and reception. I have some centerpieces already for the reception, but I'm looking for more ideas other than my own. My colors are Claret (dark red) and silver. I don't want anything blue like the Winter Wonderland theme. I want to stick to more of the warm earthy colors that Christmas time has. Any suggestions would be great!!! Thanks!!! Re: Winter Wedding
I bought a bunch of snowflake floating candles off the internet, but once I got them in the mail, I found out they are too wide for my small cylinder centerpieces, so if anyone would like to see them, I am in need of selling them.

As for favors, I am doing snowflake cookies. I considered hot chocolate packets with marshmellows, but am now going to do that for my guests that are staying in a hotel.

I am doing a snowflake cake (i have pictures of the sample cake if you want them). I am doing large vases with white branches and dangling snowflakes for the centerpieces (hobby lobby... 50% off).

I am also doing icicle lights everyhere, and such.

So good luck. Contact me if you need anything. Jennibu1@aol.com
