I live in the Pittsburgh area and we are planning our outdoor wedding at the North Park Lodge in September 2006. Our decorator will not provide any type of set-up for music to be played at the ceremony. What do we do for music at an outdoor wedding? Has anyone else had their wedding at the lodge? Please help!

Hi, I don't know where you live at all, but I can give you a website that I found that may help you, it is www.weddingmusic.co.uk. I tryed it myself before I wrote this message so it should work for you. If you are having an indoor wedding you need wedding music but if it is a night do you can have pop music or classical music. I hope you have a lovely wedding and enjoy the music!
Out door weddings are great. People can be relaxed and just not feel so up tight. I sugest I great live band so they can enjoy lots of dancing. Makes them remember.......................But no matter what you do I am sure they will love it just have fun...............................
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and might recommend posting an ad for a musician at the Pitt music building- it's at the corner of Bellfield and 5th Ave. If I can be of any help for custom, handmade invitations or other suggestions, please let me know.

How do I post a mesage for a musician at Pitt? My brother goes to Pitt so I know were the building is. Do I need to talk to an instructor or is there a board? Is this somethine that they do often? Thanks for the reply?

An old boyfriend of mine played violin in the Pitt orchestra and he would've been happy to help (but has graduated).
I would start by contacting the director Roger Zahab and/or posting flyers. Looks like Roger's contact info is 412-624-4017
Rzahab@pitt.edu and you can say that a friend of Dan Anderson referred you if you want. Or I would post a flyer on the bulletin board at the entrance to the music building (just inside the building's doors). If you have certain songs you want to have played or if you're specifically looking for a solo cellist or quartet, you could list those specifications on your flyer. You could even choose a date and location to have audtions if you wanted and post that on the flyer. Across the bottom of the flyer, be sure to have pull-tags with your name, phone number or email address, and "Wedding Musicians Wanted" or something.
Good luck! Happy to help! If you need invitations check out www.AllYoursInvitations.com
