Hi I wonder if anyone can give me some advice...
I have been one the injection now for 3 month i havent had a period or anything and i was due to go back this week and i havent gone as i have decided with my partner we would like to have a baby, i have heard off friends etc that it could take up to 2 year to have one does anyone know if this is true as im panicing now and is there any tablets or anything that could help me fall quicker ? thanks for any comments back its much appreicated :D
Hi,I had been on the depo for 12 years and it does not take that long when you get off of it just a couple of months. I know I have three and i spaced them three years apart each. I too had never had a period the whole time i was on, but once i got off i bleed steadly for a few weeks each time..but everyone is different. My doctor refused to continue giving me the shot now because studies came out that show prolonged use of the depo is now causing osteoporosis in most women earlier in life. So dont worry my friends who also took depo got pregnant within a few months of getting off.
One thing i forgot to mention was I don't know if it's because i was on for so long While I was on the shot I had ZERO sex drive, as soon as i got off things were normal. So weight gain isn't the only bad side effect.
