I've just spent the past couple of weeks looking into hotels for our reception, and at least around here, NONE of them will allow you to bring your own caterer, or your own liquor. That's where they make their money, marking up food and drink several times over. Other venues that do allow it, they double or triple the price of the venue when you don't use their catering.
