Hey, asking for someone to sponsor your wedding doesn't typically mean that you dont have money. Why cant we find a way to help out a local vendor that may need some publicity? Or help out someone who is just starting out in their profession and need to display their talents? How come it has to be begging? Hey, I am looking for sponsors not just to get something free, but to help them in return. He/She may not know who on my guest list may be of some "special importance"
I am the mother of three who has been engaged for the past 5 years. My fiance and I are looking for sponsors in the chicagoland area who are willing to sponsor some services for us in exchange for some advertising. I am a marketing specialist for a not for profit organization and I can supply advertisements both professionally and personally. I can be reached at sykest@sbcglobal.net
I'm new to the wedding industry & offering 20-40% off on wedding accessories, jewelry, invitations, etc. I'm hoping to gain experience, advertising, & new clients! It is a win, win business!
Where are you located and what is the date of your wedding? i am a photographer starting my own business after years of taking photos for family and friends, from protraits to weddings. As i am trying to expand my portfolio i can donate a few hours of my services to you if you are in my area. Please let me know where and when. Like you said i could use the advertisement. Its a win win.

Hi, we are looking for wedding sponsors really bad. I am a single mother and my fiancee will be attending Hotfsta Law school in New York for his PhD which means limited funds for him. I will continue to live in Gainesville FL until we are married and really want to have a wedding due to the fact that I will be the first in my family getting married and the fact that he's very traditional and is the only Male in his family. Wedding location will be in St. Petersburg Florida, Summer 2008. Please Help!!!
I totally agree with Michelle and I would like to add a little to it from the other perspective. As a Wedding photographer, I have done a fair share of sponsoring weddings to build my portfolio and to offer help to others that need it. It is important to remember though, that wedding vendors, especially the creatives like photographers and videographers spend thousands of dollars on education, equipment, programs, computers, etc. And if you offer a service like the marketing person (I wish I was in your area, i would be sending you an e-mail) offer that service in exchange. Or if a relative offers to help and they have a special skill or service, ask them if they would offer it in exchange. I am big fan of barter. For example, if you're a parent, offer babysitting services, cleaning services, if you're a secretary, offer some typing services, help them set up a filing system (I am terrible at it). The thing is, we are all good at something, so why not exchange that something for something you need. That is truly a win/win situation.
Sponsorship is great and I will still do it to this day but seriously, before you ask for the sponsorship, think about the talents and skills you have and see if you can work a trade. What might not seem like a big deal to you might be something someone else would really like or want.
I can sell wedding day necessities(invitations, flutes, cake server, jewelry, veils, etc) at 25-50% off! Doesn't matter what state that you live in. My suppliers will dropship to your door!
My fiancé and I are getting married at the Montbleu Resort in South Lake Tahoe in October of 2008 and I'm thinking about sponsoring the wedding (or at least part of it) so it's not so much of a burdon on us because it's going to be a stretch for us to pay for it and we don't want to have to put it all on our credit cards.
If you're intersted, please contact me at Tuxmask55@yahoo.com and thank you.

This will be a way for me to give back to her on her special day. Any help will be appreciated. Pls contact me at sweetrose041405@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance!
I am doing a sponsered wedding set for September, i have had a lot of luck when it comes to catering, photograhphy, DJ and even have a wedding coordinater! You have to really have alot of patientence, and be very driven to do this. Unfortunally I have been pretty lucky. The only thing i have had issues with is the Hall... Most wont! But I also have lots of buisness owners that I know that are willing to set out flyers and such for the companies that are helping us... St charles Mo area... So keep Dreaming Big Brides!! Alot of Companies have to spend thosands on their advertising alone... Door to door in my area cost the company of the buisness owner that is a friend of mine $1000 for 100 houses and thats cheap!
