I am thinking of having my wedding at Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury, NJ? Has anyone been there before? I herd that the food wasn't all that great? My 2nd choice is the new Berkeley Hotel in asbury Park? I'm not sure if I should go with a beach front hotel or formal gardens? Anyone know any info?
My cousin had her reception at the Shadowbrook and it was beautiful. I dont remember too much about the food - I can tell you though that what happened was that the entire wedding pretty much hung out in the bar. The bar is separate from the room so everyone pretty much just stayed in there - I dont think my cousin was too happy about this
I was also thinking of getting married at the Berkeley - put the deposit down and everything. I went back one weekend to see if they had made any progress - which they hadn't - the whole place just made me really nervous and I dont want to spend the next year hoping. It has a lot of potential
I decided to take a chance with the Berkeley Recption Site in Asbury Park. I went their a 3rd time yesterday and noticed the new landscaping (yeahy) : )
I was very , very nerous, but my wedding is in June 2009 so everything will be finished!! I figured I would be get in now why I can, and I wanted to have somthing difffernt! I am also going with Merri-Makers Catering, they do many event at that location I think? wish me luck!
Kris? thanks for your information on shadowbrook. I decided to book at berkeley instread. I was invited to visit there on Saturday to see a wedding reception with the event manager, so I am going to check things out. I'll let you know how everything works out?
