Hey I've got a dilemma. I got married last July and then got it annulled like a month or two later. I dont know where or how to get the paperwork stating the annulment, and I need to know how to change my name back to my maiden name. What do I need?
You would go to the courthouse of the county where your marriage was annulled. They usually charge for certified copies. Take those along with your birth certificate showing your maiden name to the DMV to change your licence and to the social Security administration to change your ssn.
They should have given you paperwork when you got the anullment but you can go to the courthouse and request the records. I know in our state (NH) you dont need anything to start using your maiden name again.
