I'm having a wedding in the cayon in South Dakota on May 22, 2004 I want some cute ideas for outside weddings. I have no idea what I'm going to do yet. Please help.
For an outside wedding, you could use flower petals for the aisle instead of a runner. I have also seen pedestals with flowers on them lining the aisle. White chairs give a very clean look, but if you are getting married in the fall the iron might be better. Depending on your site, you could have a fountain, an arch or gazebo covered with flowers, etc. A dove or butterfly release is nice, especially at an outdoor wedding. Good luck!

You can buy pre-packaged butterflies that mature on your wedding day, & which you ask guests to release as you kiss/recess. But please don't do this! (1) Many of them are dead in their little packages. (2) You might well be releasing non-native butterflies into a new environment, which isn't a good idea.
Better is the dove idea. Professionals who raise white homing pigeons ("doves") will rent you from a single one through multiple birds for a "release" at this climax in your ceremony. You pay a basic cost per dove, & than a mileage charge for however far they need to fly home afterwards. These people have very high standards, & won't rent you doves if they need to fly after dark ... Dangerous for the birds.
That's why, if you like this idea, go w/ a professional handler. Moveover, their birds are on a special diet to ensure that, once they're airborne over your heads, they won't, ah, pee & pooh all over you & your guests.
Outdoor weddings are lots of fun. My best suggestion is: suit the wedding to the environment it's in. Look around you, consider why you decided you wanted that particular place for your wedding, & then plan around that -- your colors, music, decorations, etc.

I think that you should use white Christmas lights . Like what I mean is string them though the tops of tents and then for the tables as centerpieces use white or ivory candles with pictures of you and ur hubby to be.

U should have ur wedding at sunset. Then have everyone in your wedding light a candle and countinue down the row until all candles are lite. Then it will show up in ur wedding photos and I'm sure it will look nice. DO you have American Online Instant Messager. I have good ideas too but can't "chat" long on AIM at work but I can at home?
