Re: SONGS
I wrote this song for my daughters wedding in the near future;
Looking to produce it if ther's a positive interest in it--need your
Opinion....thank you.

Daughter of Mine

Daughter Of Mine
You Make My Sun Shine
You’ve Become Every Thing
I Could Ever Want

Daughter of Mine
You Went From Ponytails To Wine
In Such a Short Time
I Can’t Imagine

Daughter Of Mine
Can’t Help But Cry Sometimes
Over the Thought of Losing You
To Another Man

Daughter of Mine
This Is the Way It Must Be
To Love And Blossom
The Family Tree

Daughter of Mine
On This Wedding Day So Fine
I will Be Giving You Away
To Start A New Day

Daughter Of Mine
Look At You Now
A Child Grown Up
A Woman Smiling Back At Me

Daughter Of Mine
Some Things Will Come To Pass
And Some Things Will Never Change
As My Love Will Never Wane

Daughter Of Mine
You Will Always Be
My Little Girl
Sweetheart In Curls
(repeat)

Re: SONGS
I got married in september and found some very good father/daughter songs that I used at our wedding -

A Song for my Daughter - by Ray Allaire
** Absolutely beautiful!**

You are so beautiful - Joe Cocker

Isn't She Lovely - Stevie Wonder

At our wedding...everyone seemed to love the new electric slide and something called the Cha Cha Slide. SInce it was newer and not a lot of people knew it, everyone wanted to try.

We also found that since both my husband and I have some very strong cultural backgrounds (Both Itialians with families from overseas there) that the traditional cultural music went over very well!

We also did an elimination dance at our wedding. We had the DJ play a song that we picked out (" When I said I do" was the title) and every few seconds he asked a couple to sit down, starting with the most recently married couple (us obviously) and moving so forth. Eventually you are left with the couple who has been married the longest being the only ones dancing on the dance floor. The best part is that we didn't know who was going to win (ended up being my grandparents). Everyone stood and clapped and it was beautiful. This gives the newlyweds something to look forward to. We rewarded the couple by giving them beautiful candle holders. Everyone loved the idea and it seems pretty unique!

Any more help with songs, feel free to contact me.

Re: SONGS
I'm getting married in May and we are going to do something like the elimination dance that Jen did, we are going to ask all the married couples to joins us on the dance floor, I havent picked a song yet, after we start dancing the D.J. Will start asking the couples who have only been married a few hours to please have a set and just go down the line with the years people have been married and the last couple standing we are going to ask for some words of advise and wisdom and then reward them with a gift.
Another different thing we are going to do is, alot of people dont make it to the wedding it selfs and miss my father giving me away, so the first dance of the night will be and my father and then my dad is going to give to my husband on the dance floor. I realy love this idea!!
Good Luck To You :)

Re: SONGS
I have done this many times at weddings and I always use the song Through the Years by Kenny Rogers. Then at the end of the song I ask the couple who has been married the longest what advice do they have for the newly joined bride and groom.
Another that I do is when the garter is tossed and the bouquet is tossed, if there are going to be alot of kids at the reception the bride and groom do a candy toss or a teddy bear toss to the kids. It helps with the kids being bored. I ususally play the song I'm a believer- beacause the kids relate to the cartoon Shrek.

Re: SONGS
For one of my songs, I'm using "Chances Are" by Bob Segar and Martina McBride. It describes us beautifully and I get to have a Bob Segar (my favorite) song played at my wedding! :-)

Re: SONGS
Am I the only one that noticed she needs a mother daughter song, NOT a father daughter song! I think In my Daughter's Eyes by Martina McBride is beautiful!
