Hi, just wondering if anyone has any favor ideas that are not the traditional candy wrapper, etc. Favors? I also don't want to spend $300+ on cheap favors that people will just throw away. I'm open to any unique ideas! Thanks!
Hi there. My fiance and I are doing cigars to represent my Cuban heritage. We wanted to have a person actually rolling cigars at the reception, but that is going to be a bit expensive, as that is hard to come by in Buffalo, NY. Also, yesterday I had a taste of some chocolate peppermint bark that my sister in law has at her house. It is to die for. I have to check on who mades this one, but I know that Harry and David make one too. I thought it might be nice to put a couple of pieces in a little box. We are also going to work on adding some very special details to the wedding program so that people will have that to bring home with them as a memento.
A friend of mine had a caricature artist at her reception. It was cute and matched the relaxed outdoor atmosphere of her reception.
CD's are great wedding favors. You and your fiance can personalize the cd with songs that remind you of each other. You can usually buy a pack of 100 for 30.00. Then all you have to do, is go home and burn all the CD's. For the label, you can put your names and the date you got married.
Thanks for the ideas so far! I am having my ceremony and reception in the same room, so I planned to do some type of food (chocolates, etc.) as a favor since everyone will be sitting at their tables at the ceremony. I also found some personalized confetti that I thought was different (again, my wedding being relaxed and not AS formal although some parts are) to put on the tables as well. Keep the ideas coming-they're great!
I am getting married May 29th and we are giving Ink pens with our names, date, and a saying. They are a neat gift and a useful favor. I ordered mine online and got them for a great price!
Hi..We're getting married in July, and we have been thinking about favours in that way too. We want something different and meaningful..not something people would just throw away. We decided in the end to sponsor a child. My fiance loves children and we wanted to do something that would make some kind of difference in the name of all our guests.
I'm getting married in June. For the guests we are having little white boxes on the wedding conversation hearts and on top of the box we are putting special made soaps that are lavendar butterflies in the B&BW sweetpea which is my favorite scent. I have found all of the items on ebay so for 150 people it will cost aprox $100. For the wedding party we are doing coffee with special labels on them and some chocolate spoons. The Coffee you can buy at the store for 1.00 and we'll do the labels and spoons ourselves.
