I went on the depo injection for 3 months and im still trying to concive after 4 months. Has anyone else had this problem?i have been having bleeding every day or two for up to two weeks.i have also had pains in my stomach and hard to go toilet i have no energy can anyone help me with this problem?
I was on Depo for a year and a half and had breakthrough bleeding everyday for that time. Very uncomfortable and embarassing with my partner. When discussed with my doctor they just told me I was I was one of the exceptions to the rule ie: instead of stopping my period, mine never went away. I went off the shot and started taking Loestrin birth control pill and have had no problems since. Hope this helps. I know how much of an inconvenience it can be..
I got on the shot right after giving birth to my first son and I bled for 8 months straight afterwards. I gained like 25 pounds from it and was tired. I stopped taking it after about 2 years and I didn't have a period for over a year after I stopped so when I ended up pregnant with my second son I was 5 months along before I knew it. I don't recommend it to anybody.
I also took this shot for about a year and didnt blead for the whole year then after i got off of it i bled for 6 months straight and have been off of it for about 4 years now and i am finding out that my fiancee and i will have problems having a baby when nothing was wrong before. We have now spent to date over $4,000 in 6 months trying to concieve a baby all because of that shot!! i would not recommend it to anyone!!
