I live in Opelousas, Louisiana and would like to have a nice but inexpensive wedding. I thought of having an outside wedding but am not sure about where and the cost of renting table and chairs. Do you know of any nice outdoor areas in Lake Charles, Louisiana or Lafayette, Louisiana? Thank you.
Honestly, outside weddings can get pretty pricey. You'll really have to look into a lot of possibilities and dig deep for an affordable outcome.
Think about this, first you will have to rent the actual site, then rent chairs and chair covers. Also take into consideration that if you're outdoors it probably won't be possible to have a piano/organ.
Anyway here are some suggestions to have an outdoor wedding on a budget:
*Fewer guests=fewer chairs and slips.
*Have guests stand
*If you or your fiance belong to a church, borrow folding chairs.
*Get your musicians from a local highschool/college (Ex. String Quartet)
*Have the reception in someone's back yard or historical home.

What about having the ceremony outdoors, and then having the reception at an indoor place like a restaurant or hotel? That way, no worries about renting chairs and tables, a tent, etc.
