I am not a happy bride when it came to visiting the Costa Mesa, CA and the Santa Ana, CA store and was VERY upset to find that after making an appt to view dresses and expect customer service when I arrived at the store, no one greeted me at all. As well, I waited well over an hour after my appt was made and other brides shopping in the store said Good Luck getting someone to even ask if you need help. Needless to say, I am passing the word in a wide network of what would have been potential customers to say that David's Bridal does NOT employ corteous and attentive employees. NEVER would I want to shop there and a bride should feel like a PRINCESS, let alone at least a normal customer.
After several trips to David's Bridal, each time having to wait over an hour, no one to greet me, and rude people, I finally decided on a dress. Once the dress came in, it had bad stitching, and the seams were ruined. I was never given a receipt for the purchase, and they finally agreed to reorder. I have not heard a word. Needless to say, I have a lousy dress paid for, and I am searching once again, ELSEWHERE, to buy ANOTHER dress. What a waste!!!
To all Complaining people:
You get what you pay for. You went to David's Bridal because of pricing. You get what you pay for. Sometimes service isn't great at those places. Ever been to Walmart or Home Depot? You're looking for the same thing as everyone else. David's is not trying to drive you away. They are there to give you a better price. You can't expect great service at all times with volume priced stores. Don't judge a company by a few lame people who work in them. I've had terrible service at Norstrom. Why try to hurt the whole company because of a bad experience at a store or two? Complainers have too much time on their hands.
Hey listen. You cant go wrong for the prices at Davids Bridal. I guess it all depends on what store you go to because the one in Lyndhurst Ohio near cleveland is great! If you schedule an appointment dont make it for prime hours where there are 15 walk-ins. Be realistic. Make your appointment early in the morning on weekends, or early afternoon during the week if you can. I agree that you cannot judge a good store by boneheads that work there. You have to realize that if you were a walk in bride, you would want the same customer service and courtesy to be able to try on all the dresses you want. If you feel the need, speak with a manager and make sure someone will be available to work with you at your scheduled time. If you dont like a little give and take, then go out and spend $2,000 or more on a dress you will only wear for less than 12 hours! GOOD LUCK and happy shopping.
