I am 19 years old and a freshman in college. I've been with my boyfriend, who is 21, for 9 months now and we have just started talking about marriage. We are talking about a date this summer, and I was just wondering everyone's opinion on getting married at the young age of 19.
I was 18 when I got married, and I don't regret it but at the same time I really wish I had waited. If I had I would've seen that my ex-husband was not the "one" for me and now at 24 I really wish I would've waited so that this wedding would be my first. There was no way that I could've known at 18 who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with and as we changed we grew apart. However being married to him made me who I am today. Just think long and hard about that decision you change a lot from the time you are 18-24. He certainly did. Good Luck and may God be with you always.
