I had a party not to long ago( it was a dance) ...and now i am having a surprise party for my friend with both guys and girls(once again it is a dance) ...last time the guys and girls didn't dance but one the rest of the time they sat on the couch and talked...which is fine..but not all the time!! how can i get the party really started and get them to move???
It all depends on the setting, you have to put them in dance setting.
Turn the lights low and the music high (not too high the cops will break it up). And try a compliation cd with dance tracks of the type of music you want. If you can go to a spencer gifts shop or novelty store and pick up some cool cheap lighting effects, i.e. Black light, strobe light or a mini multi color rotating globe.
Or spring for a DJ and let him worry about all that.
Chill it is very easy to sove. All you have to do is let them pick the music they like and make sure that your dance area is not in the middle of the floor where everyone can see make it in a corner of the room if you have to.
