Search Tips

Our search engine takes a free-text search input, which means that you can type in your search phrase in any logical manner. For example, if you are looking for an Evening Gown in the Beverly Hills, California area, you can try your search in the following ways:

We strongly recommend including your Zip code in the search box at least once per visit. This way, our system will usually sort the results by distance from the Zip code you entered. If you do not enter a Zip code, the system will assign you a random Zip code from the city that you entered, and the order of the search results will be calculated as distance from that random Zip code.

Some very common words are ignored by our search engine. Words such as "CO", "FOR", "IN", "INC" and "OR" are completely ignored. Therefore, if you are searching in the states of Colorado, Indiana or Oregon, and you decide to include the state instead of a Zip code, use the full name of the state instead of the two letter abbreviation code.

All of the keywords that you enter are included in an "AND" search mode. Therefore, the use of the words "AND" or "OR" is obsolete.

Avoid using an acronym that might have another common meaning. For example, if you are searching for something in "Los Angeles" (again, instead of the recommended Zip search), the city name should be spelled out, because "LA" will be interpreted by our system as "Louisiana".

Our search is NOT CaSe sensitive, which means that "evening gowns beverly hills ca" and "Evening Gowns Beverly Hills CA" are treated the same way.

Most searches are Plural insensitive, meaning that a search for "Gown" and a search for "Gowns" will bring similar results.

Some very common typing mistakes and commonly misspelled words will be automatically adjusted by our system. Over time, our system will learn new "words" and the search experience will improve.
