Our History

Our Family have been making hand sewn kilts now for 60 years.
In the past 19 years we only retail kilts and accessories to the public from our shop at 45 Main Street, West Calder.
Over the years we have made kilts for many famous people including members of the royal family.
We do not sell anything less than full hand sewn kilts at very competitive prices.

The Kilt

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF OUR BUSINESS,we take great pride in the skill involved passed on through generations.
All our Kilts are HAND SEWN WITH AN AVERAGE OF 6,000 STITCHES IN EACH ONE.
We intend to keep it this way,that is why we have recently joined the Kilt makers association to assure our customers of our quality and hopefully give the public a general guarantee of workmanship when buying a kilt,as so many inferior quality kilts are now being manufactured.
ISOBEL MACDONALD has now been making Kilts for 56 years and no kilt will leave our shop until Isobel is totally satisfied it is up to standard. All Kilts can be altered at any time for a minimal cost if you lose or gain weight, or even re-made.
A KILT SHOULD LAST A LIFETIME,POSSIBLY A Family heirloom if looked after correctly.
