Flowers & Florists

At Catkin we use English grown flowers and run the business as sustainably as possible. We grow our flowers in a cutting garden in Lincolnshire, and they are often grown personally for clients.

The flower arrangements are bespoke and designed specifically for each client and couple. Knowing just where their flowers are grown makes the experience much more personal. It is is not enough to just rely on the fact that the flowers are English grown to set our business apart. We understand that the flowers have to be absolutely gorgeous and exactly what the client has in mind - it is our job to carefully interpret that and deliver their vision in as sustainable a way as possible.  We offer a personal service with no pre-fabricated   packages. We design and grow the flowers to fit your own requirements and budget. We can either do all the arrangements for you or you can buy cut stems from us to arrange yourself - or simply choose a mixture of both, it ispletely up to you!

We are all about gorgeous, stylish, fit for purpose English wedding and event flowers. We believe in using English flowers, believing that green is gorgeous! We feel very strongly that flowers and floristry should be sustainable and accessible and, thus, we offer classes and courses to teach people how   to grow and arrange their very own English flowers for a variety of events or functions, including weddings.

Our courses:

Our educational courses and classes are run by Dr Rachel Petheram who has been growing cut flowers for over 10 years. She has been a lecturer for over 18 years and is a tutor at RHS Harlow Carr. Rachel also writes regular features and articles for 'Grow Your Own' magazine. In 2011, we were voted by the Independent newspaper as one of the top 50 florists in the UK, and are listed in 'Homes and Antiques' 101 best courses for the year 2013.

As well as going home with a lot of new information and skills, we would like you to take a little something home with you, whether that is a tray of seeds or a willow sheep, and typically some cuttings for you to grow on your own from Rachel's garden too!
