Caricaturists

My name is Jasper Smithers, I am a cartoonist and artist. I have worked for about 9 years as a performing caricaturist. I have been drawing caricatures since studying illustration. I have exhibited at 3 international exhibitions in Israel and Romania and also at The Mall Gallery in London. Previous clients have included the Armed Forces, Marks and Spencer and Morgan Stanley. I also domissions.

Most of my work as a caricaturist involves being hired to draw at parties and corporate events. The images are either water colours or drawn in ink with a brush. On this page is the art which is closest to what I do when I am hired to draw at events. Most of the paintings here took about fifteen minutes to do, the longest time spent on one was half an hour.

Usually when working at parties the portraits I draw take five minutes. All the images here were done on location at concerts or other public places.  Jasper is also available formissions, either for illustration or for personal gifts such as birthday or retirement presents.

Previous clients have included The Armed Forces, Marks and Spencer, Morgan Stanley,  The Navy, The Army, Portsmouth City Council, The Portsmouth Harbour Ferrypany, Arc Marine and Motivation UK. I have also exhibited at the Mall Galleries, Portsmouth Square Tower, Havant Museum and Art Galleries and with the Civic Trust.
