Minstrel Greetings is the UK's only fully personalised musical greetings service. Simply tell The Wandering Minstrel anything you like about your loved one and he will put it into a song. He can include their name, the occasion and the names of who the greeting is from. Or why not tell him everything, their work, their achievements, their interests, and the celebrities that they adore. It's best though when you tell us all the funny things that they say and do, and all of the funny things that have happened to them. You know all the private jokes that will make them laugh out loud, and all these details can all go into the song.

The Wandering Minstrel will travel anywhere in Yorkshire, in full medieval minstrel outfit. He will present the person with a bouquet of flowers, a full band production audio CD, a stunning animated DVD video greeting containing photos and video clips that you supply and your special song too. If you provide us with lots of photos and video clips of the couple, we will create a stunning animated video featuring the specially composed song and produce a special DVD video for the couple.

We print any photo you supply onto the body of the discs and on the cover too. We place all of our CD and DVD cases into a special cellophane wrapper for a professional finish.

LIVE Minstrel Greetings
The Wandering Minstrel will travel anywhere in Yorkshire, in full medieval minstrel costume, to surprise and delight the couple. He will sing the special song that he has composed especially for them containing all of the details you have provided about them.You can tell the story of how they met and fell in love. He will then present them with their CD and DVD and a certificate style lyric sheet. The ideal time to have a minstrel greeting is at the reception, after the meal and the speeches. It is advised to book as early as you can, if I am booked up at the time you want, why not consider surprising the bride and groom outside the church or wedding venue, or at the evening reception, or even at the bride's house when she leaves in the morning.
Please book as early as possible, but The Wandering Minstrel will perform basic personalised greetings at 2 days notice and you still get a personalised CD with the customised vocal track containing the personalised lyrics. Sometimes the bride or the groom or both have booked The wandering minstrel to entertain their guests and to have the Minstrel greetings video and their special song to treasure forever. Sure it works better if it is a surprise, but evn if everyone is expecting it, it is still a very special experience.
For a wedding we recommend the bespoke service. This includes a special song written all about the couple that will never be used for any other purpose, we create the full band production backing track, and create an audio CD of the song to present to the bride and groom. This CD features any photo you supply. We also create the special animated video greeting which features the special song too, the DVD will also be presented to the couple.
We have a policy of giving the person who orders it a copy of both the audio CD and the DVD video too, but extra copies can be ordered if the bride's mum, the cheif bridesmaid, or anyone else wants a copy too.

Other wedding services
The man behind The Wandering Minstrel is an experienced church worship leader. He plays an acoustic 12 string guitar and knows all of the popular guitar based christian songs. He wears a traditional suit to lead the worship, not a Minstrel outfit, so don't worry about that. He can sing your choice of contemporary christian song or his. Some traditional hymns, but played on the guitar are available too. If you are having a church wedding, but most of the guests would not feel comfortable in a church, then this modern style of worship may help to put them at their ease.
In addition to this, Mike Collins can also sing any song that is special to the couple, as long as you give him enough notice to learn the song.

If you are having Mike to lead worship at the service and then having a Minstrel Greeting too, then. I can do a very good deal when these services are packaged together, and this doesn't have to spoil the surprise for the actual greeting.

Hen nights are one of the most popular times to book a Minstrel Greeting. After all, not everybody appreciates the so called "traditional" hen night entertainment. Why risk upsetting members of your party, when you can actually still have the surprise, and with a Minstrel Greeting you are sure to let her know how much she means to you and not simply just embaress her. The minstrel promises to keep his clothes on!
Why not share the cost between all the hens, which makes a Minstrel Greeting really affordable. The fact that the bride will recieve an audio CD, a DVD video, a certificate style lyric sheet, makes it a gift worth recieving that she can treasure forever. What you need to appreciate is tha, while you can hear what a minstrel Greeting sounds like, you can't tell what it feels like to have a song written about you or someone you love until you actually hear it, or watch the video.
