The past 5 years have seen a revolution in the magical world as it has steadily been making its way back to the forefront of the entertainment industry. Riding this wave is one of magic's brightest stars, Nick Wait.

Nick began his magical career at just 10 years old, and would spend the next couple of years of his life annoying friends, family, pets and strangers as he showed them some decidedly weak magic.

Under the belief that being a magician would make him irresistible to the ladies he practiced a lot. Then he practiced some more and after that a whole lot more. It turned out, however, that he had been slightly misguided as a child and at 16 he re-entered society, and soon began to make a name for himself among the local and magical community.

With his cheeky persona, bravado, creative flair and technical ability, Close-up magician Nick has a consistently growing reputation and has since performed his snappy sleight of hand in restaurants, bars and private parties to critical acclaim. Nick circulates among the guests interacting and presenting them with tricks so powerful, they will be amazed!

Money vanishes and reappears in impossible locations, cards hop and pop all over the place and occasionally a goldfish or 2 are produced into a glass of water. While specialising in close up magic, he has begun to turn his hand to the stage and here he has flourished. He performs his unique brand of witchcraft to hundreds of people, and does it all in a fun, entertaining manner.  His fast paced, high energy shows are excellent entertainment for any Bar/Bat Mitvzah, leaving audiences scratching their heads, and captivating young and older guests alike!

Close-Up Magic

Miracles you have seen performed on the telly that you believe are down to some camera wizardry are performed literally inches from you. Close up magic can be split into 2 different categories:

Strolling

Nick works from his pockets, mingling with your guests as he demonstrates the impossible. He brings together groups of people, making sure no-one feels left out. Great at wedding receptions, where you’re worried about divisions between guests with gangs popping up like in a cheap Broadway musical. This can really help create a talking point and get people interacting with each other.

Table Magic

Here Nick performs close up magic at your table. Each group gets to see their own mini show in which objects vanish, change and multiply, in the hands of amazed onlookers.

Stand-Up Magic

This type of magic caters to a much larger audience and can work great in conjunction with the table magic. Regularly Nick will perform a 30 minute stand up set pre-dinner, before going round the tables. Heavily influenced by the likes of Derren Brown and company, he performs some crazy mind reading tricks along with some incredible magical effects.
