Jazz Bands

Now based in Cambridge, the Ouse Valley Jazz Band was originally formed in the 1980's in a pub in Ermine Street, Huntingdon, close to the River Ouse (pronounced "Ooze"), hence the band name. It has been led by Dudley Hedge since 1989. Angela Hedge became the lead singer in the band after her marriage to Dudley in 1991.

Members of the band are all, without exception, vastly experienced musicians who have performed in jazz orchestras, dance bands, military bands and venues such as cruise ships, holiday resorts and the inevitable Mecca ballrooms.

From light dinner music to "full blown" jazz, covering a wide range of vocals, the band is able to adapt and put together a programme to suit all functions. Angela adds a touch of femininity and her sexy, low voice contrasts with her slim appearance.

Also featuring the Ouse Valley Jazz Band "Big Band Sound" of Glenn Miller - suitable for any occasion which requires a mixture of jazz and the 'big band sound' of the 1940's.
