Caroline McDermott and Wendy McArthur created Utopia-Scotland in 2001, having worked for a collective 7 years as Event Managers at the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel.
We believe that our professional background in event management is unique amongst our peers and since its creation, Utopia-Scotland has be one of the most respected wedding planningpanies in Scotland with exclusive relationships with the owners of some of the most beautiful properties available for weddings in Scotland.
Weddings and The Planning Service
There are so many things to think about and organise for the big day. The stress caused and lack of time available, can sometimes overwhelm the special time it should be.
Utopia Scotland will take all that stress away from wedding planning, while you enjoy being the bride (and groom) to be. Assistance can be given with the major decisions such as where to hold the wedding ceremony and reception, to the tiniest of details such as who is going to light the candles, and whether to have strawberries in your champagne. You will be amazed how much there is to think about!
Many other wedding planningpanies work on amission basis, we at Utopia Scotland charge our clients a fixed fee. By doing so, you know exactly how much you are paying and exactly what this is for. We do not sell packaged weddings. You will select all of the suppliers involved in your wedding. You can choose to do so from a list of people that we know work to the very highest standards and will give you the best level of service before, during and after your wedding. If however, you wish to consider other specific suppliers, we are more than happy to pursue new alternatives.
You will, with our guidance where required, make all of the decisions regarding your day. We are simply here to make these decisions easier and to make sure that what you do decide happens on the day.

Finding the perfect venue for your Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Sourcing suppliers who best meet your requirements
Meetings with you and / or suppliers as required
Coordination of all the details of the Wedding Ceremony
Coordination of all the details of the Wedding Reception
Coordinating all the finer details such as wedding favours, stationery, entertainment, cars etc.
Liaising with all the external suppliers such as furniture hire, florist, entertainment, car hire and caterer
Co-ordination of payments of suppliers on your behalf
Attendance on the day to ensure that everything goes as planned
A personalised itinerary highlighting what is to be done, when and by whom
Additional services such as local amodation, coach or taxi hire and airport pick-ups can also be provided if required
